Local installation

By installing Errai OS you create a private cloud for your cameras which ensures reliable operation of the system via the internet.

1. Router

It provides a connection to the server. When applicable, you should forward port 16016.

2. Camera

It connects to the server via RTSP-protocol.

3. Switch

It is used to connect local network cameras to the server.

4. Server with Errai OS

is the main link of the system. For security reasons it is better to use two network interface cards.

5. Errai Cloud

It provides the end-user devices to interact with the Errai server Errai cloud doesn’t store video data.

6. Video Stream

It is transmitted directly to the user's devices and has P2P via TSL encryption.

7. Login and password

They are transmitted via Errai servers and encrypted via TSL-connection.

8. User’s Devices

There are Errai apps for iOS, Android and the Web.

Creation of a cloud

By installing Errai OS directly on a server in a data center, you create a fully-featured cloud for video surveillance cameras and with an opportunity of reselling them. Take a look at the diagram of how the system works:

1. vLAN or VPN

For security reasons, access to cameras is organized via virtual networks such as vLAN or VPN.

2. Camera

It connects to server via RTSP-protocol.

3. Switch

It is used to connect local network cameras to the server.

4. Server with Errai OS

It provides processing of video surveillance cameras and recording video data.

5. Errai Cloud

Usually one server performs the task of processing and storing video, but if necessary, Errai OS could switch to a passive NAS mode or to an active mode of processing cameras which allows integrating many servers together. Architecture example is shown on the following diagram.

1. Camera

It is connected to the server via RTSP-protocol.

2. The Errai OS in NAS mode

A server with a large number of hard drives, which is used exclusively for the video archive storage.

3. Many users

Users’ access is available via Errai applications for iOS, Android and Web.

4. The Internet Gateway

For correct system operation, you should open port 16016 to the main server.

5. Switch

It allows connection of all the servers and cameras together.

6. Servers with Errai OS

They perform video processing function, as well as its subsequent transmission to a user.

The system is fully automated. It is as simple as inserting a USB-drive drive into the server and the system is ready to work in a few minutes.

The subsequent configuration of the Errai OS is carried out through user applications, which minimizes venue visits for solving problems and installing new cameras.
